Pixel Packer v1.0 documentation
This is the first ever program I have written with AMOS and looking back on it
I know I could have improved it greatly. Anyway Pixel Packer is for loading in
IFF ILBM graphics and then compressing them for use with AMOS (vice versa if
you wished). Please note that you should make sure you are loading the right
format file specified in the menu otherwise the program could crash.
To load Pixel Packer just boot up your original AMOS disk and then place this
disk into a drive. Choose Load from the menu or press F1 and then select the
program Pixel Packer.AMOS from the shown programs. Once loaded select run from
the menu. However I recommend you load it as an accessory/another program in
memory as it is meant for background development. Consult the user guide for
more information.
Once loaded press the right mouse button to bring up a menu for you to select
from...
Clear Clears any current graphics on screen to bring you back to the default
screen.
Load Bank Loads a spacked graphics screen into memory and then unpacks
Binary Bank Loads a spacked graphics screen in binary/data format
IFF Loads any iff format grpahic screen (compressed or not)
Save Bank Saves it as a spacked graphics screen in the format of an AMOS
bank
Binary Bank Saves like above but in data format (virtually the
same!)
IFF Saves as standard IFF format
IFF Compressed Saves as an iff file but compressed with AMOS
Quit Simply exits from the program
Thats all there is to know. Also this program can be used for just viewing
graphics without having to painstakingly use the CLI.
NOTE: Any errors will abort the program and maybe crash it in some instances.
